Liquor scam and Telangana continued to over shadow all other issues leading to adjournment of State Legislative Assembly for the third consecutive day on Thursday without transacting any business.

The sequence of events in the House were no different from the previous two days when the Tdp Mlas, splitted into groups, created din with one group raising Telangana slogans and the other demanding discussions on liquor syndicate. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party stalled the proceedings demanding Telangana resolution. The CPI members wanted debate on NREGS scheme while the CPM wanted discussions on drought situation.

Within seven minutes after the House met at 9 am, Speaker Nandendla Manohar was forced to adjourn the House for half an hour following pandemonium created by opposition parties after their adjournment motions on different issues were rejected. The TDP and TRS members rushed to the podium and ignored the repeated pleas by the Speaker to restore order.

Similar scenes were witnessed when the House re-assembled at 10.10 am which again led to the adjournment for half-an-hour. The Speaker then called for a meeting with all floor leaders to find a solution to break the impasse.

The House again re-assembled at 12.05 pm. The Speaker announced that the Question Hour was being postponed which resulted in some protest from the treasury benches. Legislative Affairs Minister D Sreedhar Babu tried to assure the opposition members that the government was ready to answer all the question, if they allow the House to function.

However, the opposition members continued din and uproar forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House for the day.
