Meanwhile, Dr Shankar Rao on Thursday denied having received any official communication regarding his removal from the State Cabinet. Talking to media persons, he said that neither the Chief Minister asked him to resign from the post nor he received any official communication from the Raj Bhavan in this regard.

However, Dr Shankar Rao stated that the Chief Minister was angry with him for launching anti-corruption campaign against YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy. He reiterated that he would continue his fight against corruption.

The former minister also stated that he would continue his fight against Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, her son Karthik Reddy and LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy, who, he alleged, were responsible for the attack on him.
