YSR externed Jagan to Bangalore to avoid graft charges: Lagadapati

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal on Thursday stated that former chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had sent his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy to Bangalore as allegations mounted against him from various quarters that he attracted investments using his political power.

Talking to media persons here, Mr Rajagopal said that he was not aware how Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had attracted investments despite being ‘externed’ from the state.

Lashing out Mr Jaganmohan Reddy for alleging that the Congress party’s ‘invisible hand’ was behind the High Court ordering the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe into his business dealings, the Vijayawada MP said the Court ordered probe after CBI submitted its preliminary report based on evidence against his illegal properties. “The Congress has no role to play in the High Court’s orders,” Mr Rajagopal said.

He further stated that, “It is not good for Mr Jaganmohan Reddy to target the Congress party.” The Vijayawada MP further recalled that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy had been facing corruption charges right from the time his father and former chief minister YSR was in power.

He further alleged that the Kadapa MP is acting as agent of Bharatiya Janata Party and is wearing its mask. Mr Rajagopal further alleged that the BJP is supporting Mr Jaganmohan Reddy as it failed to tackle the Congress party which has gained immense political grounds under the able leadership of its president Sonia Gandhi.
