Mr Naidu was speaking while leading a Rasta Roko protest, demanding Minimum Support Price for the paddy in the state.

Later, Mahabubnagar police him along with three other party MLAs at Maganuru in the district for disrupting the traffic.

Earlier, the Tdp president had addressed the party rank and file, who participated in the Rasta Roko, and lashed out the state government for neglecting the welfare of farmers.

The former chief minister had alleged that the state government has not taking any steps for lifting the discoloured grains and has also failed to announce Minimum Support Price for the farmers’ produce.  He also blamed the government of having failed to supply adequate jute bags for the farmers.

Mr Naidu warned that his party would fight for the cause of farmers until the government address their problems.

“Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy’s inexperience is leading to mounting problems for the farmers. He has failed to address the problems being faced by the tillers,” the former chief minister alleged.

Mr Naidu further said that the Cash Transfer Scheme proposed in his party’s 2009 election manifesto would have provided a solution to check corruption and help the farmers.

Earlier, he inspected the Market Yard at Devarakadra and spoke to the farmers over their problems.

Mr Naidu and his supporters were shifted to the Krishna police station.
