The Munsif Magistrate at Nampally Court on Tuesday dismissed the plea filed by the Saifabad police to direct the Court to order Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to take liquid food and medicines in view of his deteriorating health condition.

The police had approached the Court and presented the medical report given by the doctors at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences where Mr Naidu is presently admitted, before the Court.

The police however were caught unprepared when the Magistrate asked them to produce the documents showing Mr Naidu’s arrest and the registration of the case against the TDP chief.

The police officials said that they did not have the proper documents with them, at which the Magistrate refused to pass orders saying that if there is no police case against the former chief minister, then the police have no jurisdiction asking the Court to pass orders.

The police then assured the Magistrate that they will approach the Court with the proper arrest documents.

Mr Naidu’s health condition has deteriorated at the NIMS as his indefinite hunger strike entered the fifth day on Tuesday.
