Nandi Awards postponement: Aruna meets Chiru

Information and Public Relations Minister  D K Aruna on Friday called on Praja Rajyam party president K Chiranjeevi at his Chamber on Assembly premises.

According to sources, the Minister discussed the deferment of Nandi Film Fare Awards presentation, scheduled to be held at Lalitha Kala Thoranam on December 12 with Mr Chiranjeevi.

The Minister told media persons later that the government has decided to defer the awards presentation for one month in the wake of heavy rains battered the Coastal Andhra Pradesh recently.

The Minister urged Mr Chiranjeevi to cooperate with the government in this regard.

As per the schedule, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will present the Nandi awards to film personalities for their contributions to film industry.
