Even as the Fourth Additional Sessions Court in Anantapur district on Wednesday convicted Om Prakash for murdering Moddu Srinu and sentenced him to undergo life imprisonment, the accused abused the Judge in foul language and threatened that he would eliminate his arch-nemesis Maddelacheruvu Suri.

The judgment came exactly two years after Om Prakash brutally murdered Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy, better known as Moddu Seenu inside the Anantapur district jail premises.

After the sentencing, Om Prakash said that he would move the High Court, in pursuit of justice.

He accused Chief Minister K Rosaiah and faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri of hatching a conspiracy to get him punished.

Even as those present in the Courtroom could come out their shock on hearing Om Prakash’s usage of foul language against the judge, his threats against Suri froze them into further shock.

Om Prakash warned that he would see the end of Suri once he comes out from the jail.

Om Prakash was arrested for killing main accused in the Paritala Ravindra murder case Moddu Seenu with a dumbbell in Anantapur district jail on November 9, 2008.

The barbarity of that killing displayed Om Prakash sadistic streak, since he had not only battered Seenu’s head with the dumbbells but also gouged out his eyes with an iron rod and cut his ears off.

The incident led to accusations that the killing was politically motivated with the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) alleging a conspiracy by the Congress government to eliminate evidence in Paritala Ravi’s case to shield former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s son YS Jaganmohan Reddy and senior leader JC Diwakar Reddy.
