Vijayamma leaves to US amidst Jagan vs Sharmila clash. The rift within the YSR family seems irreparable, with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and APCC president Y.S. Sharmila entrenched in their respective positions. Vijayamma, the spouse of the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has chosen to depart for the US to be with her grandson, perhaps seeking solace amidst the escalating bitterness.

This departure underscores the heightened tensions within the family, particularly as the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha general elections in Andhra Pradesh loom large. The tragic murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy has only exacerbated the divisions, with his daughter Dr. Sunita and Sharmila expressing dissatisfaction with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's handling of the case.

The decision to field Y.S. Avinash Reddy, one of the accused in Vivekananda Reddy's murder case, as the YSRC candidate from Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency has further fueled the family feud. Avinash Reddy's father, Y.S. Bhaskar Reddy, is currently in judicial custody in connection with the case, while Avinash himself is out on bail, facing serious allegations.

Vijayamma finds herself torn between her son's political ambitions as the Chief Minister and her daughter's opposition as the head of the Congress party in AP. The added complexity arises from Sharmila's decision to contest from the same constituency as Avinash Reddy, deepening the familial divide.

While Vijayamma had initially offered prayers for both her children at the YSR Ghat in Idupulapaya during the launch of their election campaigns, the situation has since deteriorated. Sharmila and Dr. Sunita are openly rallying against Avinash Reddy, urging voters not to elect those embroiled in criminal activities to Lok Sabha. Conversely, Vimala Reddy, the sister of late CM Rajasekhar Reddy, has criticized Sharmila and Dr. Sunita for tarnishing the family's reputation and campaigning against their own kin.

The internal strife within the YSR family has inadvertently buoyed the hopes of the Telugu Desam Party, which sees an opportunity to capitalize on the division of votes within the Chief Minister's own household.
