Sharmila brands Jagan as the perpetrator of murders.APCC Chief YS Sharmila recently made scathing remarks against CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of destroying the ideals she believed in and fostering a culture of violence. She made these comments following the release of the first list of candidates for the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, declaring her candidacy as the Kadapa Congress MP, a decision she described as difficult yet necessary given the circumstances.

YS Sharmila reminded Jagan Mohan Reddy of their relationship as siblings, expressing no animosity towards him. However, she criticized his governance, stating that he has changed since becoming CM and that she no longer recognizes him. She lamented the allocation of a parliamentary seat to individuals implicated in Viveka's murder, condemning Jagan for protecting them and using the tragedy for political gain. She criticized the YCP government for failing to punish the perpetrators despite overwhelming evidence against them.

Sharmila emphasized her commitment to justice and opposition to violence in politics, stating that she is running for the Kadapa MP seat to prevent a murderer from entering Parliament. She paid tribute to YSR and Viveka, likening their relationship to Rama and Lakshmana, and pledged to fulfill Viveka's wish to see her as an MP.

She criticized Jagan's governance, claiming that the state would have progressed if special status had been granted and accused him of failing to fulfill his promises to the state. She called for the Congress party to come to power to ensure the state's development and the fulfillment of its promises.
