Congress tightening noose around KCR and KTR. Congress senior leader and former MP Madhu Yashki Goud has made serious allegations against the BRS leadership, suggesting that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and working president K.T. Rama Rao could be implicated as Accused-1 and Accused-2 in a phone tapping case. He claimed that even routine decisions such as police constable transfers required former minister KTR’s approval during the BRS regime. Mr. Goud warned that legal troubles may be looming for the father-son duo.

Highlighting concerns about corruption under the previous BRS rule, Mr. Goud alleged the presence of pro-BRS officials in various departments in the State currently. He hinted at potential inquiries into large-scale corruption committed by the previous BRS government following the impending Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the arrest of BRS MLC K. Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam, Mr. Goud stated that while Kavitha claimed it was a fake case, she did not deny her role in the scam. He criticized the central government for selectively targeting opposition leaders, pointing out that the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was conveniently timed before the Lok Sabha election.

In response to these allegations, KTR practically admitted to phone tapping during his party’s rule in Telangana. However, he dismissed the issue, stating that the Congress government was exaggerating the situation. He mentioned that while there may have been some phone tapping, it was likely limited to individuals involved in illegal activities. He downplayed the allegations of widespread phone tapping as an attempt to create a false narrative against the BRS government.
