Lal Krishna Advani, a seasoned political figure, held the position of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president for the longest period since its inception in 1980. His strategic leadership played a pivotal role in the BJP's ascendancy during the 1990s, culminating in its first-time governance as part of coalition governments under Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
