KCR planning to campaign on wheelchair. Former CM and BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao is gearing up for an empathetic appeal to voters by planning to campaign in a wheelchair as the Parliamentary Elections approach. With a focus on securing the maximum number of seats, KCR is concerned about the potential repercussions for the party if it doesn't perform well in the upcoming LS polls.

Amidst these concerns, several BRS legislators seem to be gradually distancing themselves from the party, aligning with other political entities following the defeat in the recently-concluded Assembly Elections. It has been reported that five BRS MLAs have already reached out to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Opting for a campaign in a wheelchair, KCR aims to convey a resolute message that the party's interests outweigh his health concerns. Simultaneously, he seeks to evoke sympathy from both voters and the party cadre. It is noteworthy that KCR had suffered a hip fracture after an accident at his farmhouse just two days after the Assembly Election results were declared.

Despite medical advice to take a few weeks of rest for recovery, KCR, currently able to stand with support and take limited steps, fears that the general Elections might conclude before he fully recuperates. Consequently, he has decided to limit his visits to only two constituencies per day, engaging in discussions with party leaders at his farmhouse to assess the feasibility of this plan.

However, the key question remains whether KCR's wheelchair campaign strategy will translate into votes. Drawing parallels with Mamata Bannerjee's similar tactics during the last Lok Sabha Elections, which did not yield significant results, skepticism surrounds the potential impact of such sympathetic gestures on electoral outcomes.
