Simbu To Join Kamal - Mani Ratnam Film

Two legends in south cinema especially from Kollywood, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam who are riding high with their latest successes Vikram and Ponniyin Selvan joined hands for their next. The legendary combo of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, who delivered the cult classic ‘Nayakan’ in 1987, is all set to reunite for a new ambitious film tentatively titled ‘KH234’. The latest buzz is that actor Simbu, is in talks for an important role in KH234. 

Kamal Haasan recently announced a film with Simbu, ‘STR48’ with director Desingh Periasamy under his production house. This good rapport between them is said to be the reason behind bringing this collaboration to the table. Simbu is also worked with Mani Ratnam for Chekka Chivantha Vaanam / Nawaab earlier.

Simbu was also attended Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ audio launch as a chief guest. Sources suggest that KH234 will go on the floors by this year-end and Simbu might join the cast soon. If this news turns out to be true, it will be a massive treat for the fans of both Kamal Haasan and Simbu.

Tgere is also interesting grapevine regarding the leading lady in KH234, as some reports suggest that Nayanthara, Trisha and Vidya Balan are being considered by the makers. KH234 will be produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Red Giant Movies jointly. The film is said to be a political thriller with a strong message. Meanwhile Kamal Hassan is focusing on Shankar's Indian 2 which is getting to final stages of production.
