Nagma becomes a cyber victim. Nowadays cybercriminals are not leaving anyone and they are coming up with new techniques to siphon money from people. According to the latest, actor-turned-politician Nagma became the victim of a cyber attack.

Nagma got a message and a link on her mobile on 27 February asking her to update her KYC details in her bank account. Within minutes she got a call from a person claiming to be a bank employee and he gained access to her bank account and created a  beneficiary account and transferred around Rs1 lakh from her account.

Nagma shared "I believed the message as it resembled those sent by the bank and it was not from a private number. The fraud occurred at night when I clicked on the link. I immediately got a call from a person claiming to be from the bank. He told me he would guide me to complete the KYC update. The fraudster gained remote access to my phone. Though I did not share any details on the link, the fraudster created a beneficiary account after logging into my internet banking and transferred Rs 1 lakh to a nationalized bank. I received multiple OTPs which showed they made at least 20 attempts. Luckily, I did not lose a huge sum."

Even actress Shwetha aka Malvika Menon became the victim of the cyber fraud.
