RRR Naatu Naatu Shortlisted For Oscars In Best Original Song Category

SS Rajamouli's Magnum Opus Action Epic RRR starring NTR & Ram Charan has moved a step closer to Oscar. Naatu Naatu song from RRR has been shortlisted in the best original song category. The song is composed by MM Keeravani while Rahul Sipligunj and Kaalabhairava crooned it. Chandrabose has penned the lyrics while Prem Rakshit choreographed the song. RRR which was released across the globe in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages has been submitted by the makers for consideration in various Oscar categories. It is competing for two awards at the Golden Globes next month in Best Non-English Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu categories. 

RRR song Naatu Naatu will be competing with 14 other songs in the Best Music (original song) category at the Academy Awards. At the Oscars, Naatu Naatu will face off with 14 other songs, which include Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength) from Avatar: The Way of Water, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, and Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing.

The Gujarati-language Chhello Show (The Last Show), which is India's official entry for the 2023 Academy Awards in the International Feature film category, has been shortlisted for next year's Academy Awards. It is Directed by Pan Nalin. Chhello Show will compete with 14 other films in the category, including Argentina, 1985, Decision to Leave, All Quiet on the Western Front, Close and The Blue Caftan.

The nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced on January 24. The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12, 2023 at Los Angeles Dolby Theatre.
