Asin was about to be banned by the by South Indian Artists Association (Nadigar Sangham) for her visit to Sri Lanka for the shooting of film ‘Ready’ for apartheid against Sri Lankan Tamilians. Following the ban call on Asin, Asin visited the Eye Care Camps in Vavuniya and Jaffna areas of Sri Lanka as a part of her charity programs with initiation from Salman Khan’s ‘Being Human’ Foundation.

Asin was even accompanied by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s wife Shiranthi WickramAsinghe Rajapaksa. These visits to Eye Care Camps were regarded as a trick by Asin to please the Nadigar Sangham.

Asin along with ‘Being Human’ Foundation flew down five eye surgeons with 1000 eye lenses, after care medication and even the technical equipment required for the operations from India. Asin also hinted that she would help perform more of operations and surgeries in the Northern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka (which used to be the area of Tamils).

Finally, this noble deed has already led to reconsideration of the ban call on Asin. So, Salman’s ‘Ready’ plan working out for Asin.
