Legendary singer Lataa Mangeshkar passes away

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away leaving the entire nation tear-struck. Lataa Mangeshkar breathed her last today at 8.12 AM at the Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. 92-year-old Lata Mangeshkar had been battling covid for quite some time and though she recovered from covid, she developed post covid problems and was admitted to the hospital.
Doctors admitted her in ICU and put her on a ventilator. Though at times, her health improved, she couldn't recover from pneumonia and finally succumbed to it after battling for three weeks.
Born as Hema Mangeshkar in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 28 September 1929, Latha went on to rule the Indian film industry with her melodious voice. She endeared herself as The Nightingale Of India and Queen of Melody. Lata Mangeshkar was conferred India's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna, only the second after legendary Carnatic singer MS. Subbu Lakshmi. Condolences started pouring in from all quarters.
