Petta Teaser Review: Maranna Mass

On the eve of super star Rajinikanth’s birthday, makers of his upcoming entertainer Petta have wished the actor along with millions of fans with a teaser. One word to describe the teaser is vintage Rajinikanth is back with bang in a massy avatar. Rajinikanth plays dual roles in the film and two getups are impressive.

Petta teaser starts in style with Rajinikanth walking in dark and his men hit apparently those who come to attack him. Then, Rajinikanth’s mass steps to mass beat Maranna Mass are a treat to watch for his fans. The scene where Rajini wears shades is a goose bump moment.

All in all, Petta teaser is intriguing though the film’s plot wasn’t unveiled. Except for Rajinikanth, no other notable actors including heroines Simran and Trisha were shown in the teaser. BGM by Anirudh is enthralling.

Seems like, director Karthik Subbaraj is not experimenting and is willing to show Rajinikanth in a mass role. Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sasi Kumar and Bobby Simha are the other lead cast. The film is likely to release for Pongal, 2019.
