Indian Cricket Team secured their first Test victory in Australia since 2008 and lead a series in the country for only the second time after a transfixing 31-run win in Adelaide. India’s fast-bowlers led the way on the final day, breaking through each time a partnership was threatening to develop, with Jasprit Bumrah providing the bulk of the key moments.

But Australia’s last wicket pair of Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood got it down to needing 32 to win when, Hazlewood drove at R Ashwin and edged low to second slip. While it’s celebration everywhere for India, it’s pain for Australia.

India won just their sixth Test match in Australia. The Virat Kohli-led team scored 250 and 307 respectively in both the innings, while Australia put in 235 and 291. As said by commentators and Australia’s captain Tim Paine, Chateshwar Pujara is the difference between the two teams in a low scoring game. "I thought Pujara was probably the difference between the two sides,” said Tim.

Chateshwar Pujara who is awarded player of the match said, “I think playing here before has helped me a lot. I think what has helped me is the preparation. Ultimately winning the Test match credit to all the bowlers. The first innings lead of 15 gave us the belief batting in the second innings. I always back my ability and I've got enough experience.” Pujara scored 123 in first innings and 71 in second innings.

India will play their second test against Australia at Perth from 14th of this month. Hope, our team continue the winning streak and wins the series.
