2.0: Not The Real Range Of Rajini

Thailava fans are over the moon and going crazy claiming that 2.0 is breaking all records at the box office across the world. Despite their tall claims, one cannot hide the truth for a long time. Ever since 2.0 was launched, Chennai media promoted it as a project that 2.0 tsunami can wipe out all Baahubali records. However Shankar and the Lyca Media took utmost care not to bring that talk as the film release date approached.

Though the film’s Telugu version’s first day share gave a shock to the producer as it stopped at Rs 12.66 crs, if we look at the dubbing films record, it is a stunning record. Rajini’s Kaala with great difficulty struggled to get Rs 4crs.

The promotions like visual effects, Shankar’s brand and 3D effect helped it a lot. However what that surprising all is 2.0 failed to create the magic in North with its Hindi version. The Hindi version got just Rs 20 crs presenting the stark reality. Furthermore, it failed to cross even the Bollywood’s greatest disaster Thugs of Hindostan.

Collections proved a point that the weak story and screenplay affected the film’s collections despite its grand visuals. Since movie lovers already experienced such stunning visuals in Hollywood dubbing films, they did not accept 2.0 in the North. Even Akshay Kumar’s role which appeared only in the second half and that too as a villain did not help him in any manner. In the climax he did nothing but lost his life at the hands of Rajinikanth.

Buzz is fans of Akshay Kumar are extremely hurt as he was shown as an old and frail person. Analysts feel this is not the real range of Super Star Rajinikanth.
