NOTA Stands At 3rd Position

Genex star Vijay Devarakonda has made his entry in Kollywood with Telugu-Tamil bilingual film NOTA. The political thriller film directed by Anand Shankar had raked decent numbers on day one, wherein it collected below par revenues in Tamil Nadu on opening day.

After decent start on day one, NOTA failed to continue the momentum on Saturday and Sunday in Telugu. As per trade reports, the film dropped big time on Monday since bookings for today are not up to the mark.

The situation is not different in Tamil Nadu as well. But, NOTA is somewhat doing better business in Chennai. The film stood at third position in terms of first weekend highest grossers in the city. 

While Vijay Sethupathi’s much publicized film 96 took the first slot, Mani Ratnam’s latest sensation Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (Nawab in Telugu) is enjoying second position. Here is top 5 grossers for the last weekend in Chennai:
