Sushmita Sen, Miss Universe 1994 who stole the hearts of world audience with her sensuous beauty has got summons shock. According to National media information, Egmore Court issued summons to Sushmita Sen directing her to depose in front of court on September 18 in connection with violation of foreign trade rules. 

Justice R.Suresh Kumar, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore passed the summons after a witness warrant was issued on July 20th against Sushmita with regards to a luxury imported car.

Trial judge considered the issue an emergency matter and even planning to conduct cross examination directing the police to make all suitable arrangements. 

Into the actual case, it is about alleged misuse of Transfer Residence Scheme wherein a Toyota Land Cruiser which was sold to Sen by Vasu Pandari Thamala who had bought it from Haren Choksey. Both of them are also made the prime accused in case. 

Sushmita Sen then voluntarily paid Rs 20.31 Lakhs as differential customs duty after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seized the car in 2006 on the grounds of customs act violation.
