Ticket Rates Hike in Telangana

Movie Ticket Rates are expected to take a steep increase in the state of Telangana starting from July. This hike is attributed to the introduction of GST by Central Govt.

New Ticket Rates will be as follows-

1)      In GHMC region, First Class ticket in AC theatre is hiked to Rs. 120 and lower class ticket to Rs. 40.

2)      In Municipality region, First Class ticket is hiked to Rs. 80 and lower class ticket is Rs. 30.

3)      In Panchayat region, First Class ticket will be Rs. 70 and second class is Rs. 20.

We are yet to know if there will be a ticket hike in multiplexes and if yes, how much will it be.

Also, we will have to wait and see if this move will benefit persons involved in movie business or will have a negative impact with less public attendance.

Whatsoever, opening revenues for big movies can see a new high with this ticket price hike.
