With overflowing currencies in the banks after demonetizing of Rs. 500 and 1000 denomination notes, here comes the first move from Government of India benefiting the real poor. There are nearly 25 Crore Jan Dhan accounts and among them nearly 5.8 Crore are zero balance accounts. This is a grand gesture from PM Modi to beat all the criticism leveled by opposition parties and a section of media against him on implementation of demonetization policy. Reports also add that, Rs.10,000 transfer into Jan Dhan accounts can be most probably carried before UP, Punjab and Goa elections by April next year.

5.8 Crore accounts with Rs.10K in each account would cost government nearly Rs.58,000 Crores. As of now, demonetization is resulting in a windfall of Rs. 3 Lakh Crores into RBI and PM wants to send a strong message that poor farmers and zero balance account holders should get the benefits. This move if implemented would have a huge impact on current politics.
