Samanta on Damage Control Mode!

Starting from ‘Theri/Police’ to ‘24’ and ‘Brahmotsavam,’ heroine Samanta was seen everywhere in South cinema circles. Definitely she worked very hard participating in parallel shoots for nearly 8 months without any breaks makes Sam eligible to win ‘Summer Queen’ title. However, her characterizations and screen time in either of these films impressed the audience.

For example, Sam’s doctor and house wife characterization in ‘Police’ was quite run of the mill. While Vijay was looking like a macho, there was no proper care taken on Sam’s look for sure. Even if the makers have taken care, it did not reach till the audience end. Coming to ‘24,’ people expected a lot from Sam. Again, it was pure disappointment. The extended romantic between Suriya, Samanta coming in second half was so boring and lengthy. Again, Sam received brickbats here.

Lastly, ‘Brahmotsavam’ is an added disaster because Samanta is the reason behind film’s second half took a severe beating. With a big damage already done, Sam pinned all her hopes on upcoming film ‘A… Aa’ hitting screens on June 2. Hope that Anasuya Ramalingam clicks controlling the damage.
