In a recent media interaction, Namitha expressed her intention to contest in the upcoming Tamil Nadu general elections which would take place in and around May 2016. As a prior preparation to pick the political outfit and Assembly constituency, the glamorous diva has come out with an official confirmation. 

‘I was offered an entry into politics by different parties. I rejected all their invitations some time ago but now I think the time has come and I am willing to serve my people. Just like the way, I shed my weight with determination when many around commented on its impossible task for me to overcome the weight, I proved them wrong. I want to prove my political decision right by winning in the next elections,’ Namitha reportedly spoke with Tamil media.

Into more details, Namitha’s native is actually in Gujarat and she could have selected a party like BJP for a smoother beginning of political career.
