Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’ concept of giving back to society is highly appreciated by Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao. The initiative of Grama Jyothi kicked off by CM KCR for comprehensive development of rural areas by using the planning and execution of works through villagers seems to have drawn inspiration from Mahesh Babu’s Harsha character. Now, Ktr is ensuring that NRIs can take part in the program by knowing the updates of developmental activities in 750 villages through their own Facebook pages created.

‘On October 2, Telangana Government’s department of IT and C will create the Facebook pages for 750 villages. These pages will be regularly updated by same department to provide information on the ongoing development works giving a complete picture of these particular villages. All those NRIs belonging to these villages will get direct access. As Facebook pages are equipped with compatibility to add third party payment applications, NRIs wishing to contribute for their village can directly process their payments. This would not only generate funds for development but also increases people participation and transparency,’ Ktr said.

Looks like ‘Srimanthudu’ theme is coming in handy for Telangana Government to take new steps in making Grama Jyothi, a successful people centric program. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu also informed media about adopting Burripalem in next three months.
