Nithya Menon Waste in Sathya Murthy

Nithya Menon is not a regular South heroine. She made a strong presence in all the languages of South and especially in Telugu, her selection of scripts and performance oriented characters made her a golden leg. Off late, Nithya prefers more of Malayalam films but at the same time she isn’t missing the plum offers in Tollywood. May be for the very first time, she has left the audience in utter disappointment with a senseless role and hopeless performance in yesterday’s released ‘S/o Sathya Murthy.’

One does not know what made Trivikram to select Nithya for this short and unimportant role which is etched with lots of imperfection. In fact, Nithya comes very late in second half of the film and as mentioned, the time isn’t such crucial to the narration. Majority of the viewers opined, any new artist other than Nithya would have been enough for the character. 

The awesome artist being a pure performer, Trivikram could not find any scope to exploit the best in her. More tragic is, Nithya paired besides Chaitanya Krishna. When there is someone like Samanta given the best of glamour look in the same film, Nithya’s presence isn’t felt anywhere.
