Super hit director SS Rajamouli’s father is famous story writer SS Vijayendra Prasad who was manhandled by Central Crime Station cops on April 16. Although truth behind the incident is confusing to unravel but Vijayendra Prasad filed a case with Human Rights Commission against CCS Deputy Commissioner J. Satyaranayana for beating him up stripping the clothes and forcing him to pay Rs.60 Lakhs in the form of two equal cheques along with R. 3 Lakhs more for sparing him from further harm.

The actual truth as per Vijayendra Prasad is that producer Chengala Venkat Rao (Samarasimha Reddy fame) was given a story in 2004 which isn’t used by him and nothing is paid for the same. When the story is asked back, Venkat Rao filed false case against the writer in CCS while there is altogether a different version from top cops. ‘Case filed by Vijayendra Prasad is just to hamper the investigation. Fact is that writer took Rs. 60 Lakhs in cheque from Venkat Rao promising to provide a story. He neither gave story nor returned the money, in turn threatened the producer of dire consequences if asked for repayment. Venkat Rao filed the case on same,’ said DCP Satyanarayana.
