Karthi Sardar 2 To Begin On His Birthday

Karthi who enjoys good market in Telugu too, has recently delivered a debacle with 'Japan'. Karthik is eyeing a solid hit. He has currently two films in the pipeline. One is with '96' / 'Jaanu' Dircetor Prem Kumar titled 'Mei Azhagan' which is an emotional entertainer starring Aravind Swamy, Swathi and Sri Divya. The film has wrapped up its shoot and is gearing up to announce its release date with a first look poster.

Another film Karthik has been shooting is 'Vaa Vathiyaare' which is helmed by Nalan Kumarasamy. Krithi Shetty is pairing with Karthik in this quirky romantic drama. While this film is also heading towards completion, Karthi is now shifting towards his next which is a sequel to his superhit 'Sardaar'. While the sequel is announced during the climax of the film itself, it took time to complete pre production and move to sets.

Karthi Sardaar 2 To Begin From May 25

Karthi's Sardaar which was released in 2022 became a Rs 100 Crores grosser globally earning him a superhit. The film deals with a social message in spy action genre. It exposes the problems and threat, packaged water posses and how some businessman try to control drinking water supply making it as a business. Karthi played dual role as father-son in the film. While father plays RAW agent, son played police in the film.

Now, Director PS Mithran after coming up with a laudable plot in the first part he is dealing with illegal drugs supply which is becoming a raising consern in our society now-a-days. The film has completed its pre production. 'Sardaar 2' will be launched officially on the occasion of Karthi's birthday on May 25. Makers are planning to release the first look for Diwali and the film in theatres for Sankranthi.
