Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey To Be Remade In Telugu With Tharun Bhascker As The Lead

With Malayalam cinema ruling the roost by delivering back-to-back blockbusters of late, now makers of other languages are eyeing Mollywood's recent box office successes. One such film is superhit of 2022, Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran-starrer Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. The film, which was made with a low budget has ended up collecting close to Rs 50 Crores worldwide.

The film has been widely watched by other language viewers also as it is avilable in Disney Plus Hotstar in multiple languages. There were news that Aamir Khan has acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam film and will have Vipin Das, who helmed the original, reprise as director. It was also speculated that Fatima Sana Shaikh will essay Darshana's role in Hindi.

Tharun Bhasker As Hero Once Again

Now, the latest exciting news is about it Telugu remake. Reports suggest plans are on to remake the film in Telugu with talented director Tharun Bhasker in the lead role. Tharun has recently directed Keeda Cola and his next project is yet to be announced. Meanwhile he is seen in various films as an actor. Tharun Bhasker was already seen in the lead role in 'Meeku Maatrame Cheptha' produced by Vijay Deverakonda.

Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey is a comedy-drama that served as a satire about the internal strife between a newlywed couple and how the wife tackles the domestic abuse she is subjected to. The film is directed by Vipin Das. Original film's lead actor Basil Joseph is also a director who made highly acclaimed film 'Minnal Murali'.
