Among the two girls in Aamir Khan's Dangal, the younger Babita Phogat played by Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at the tender age of 19 leaving everyone in shock. She passed away on Saturday, 17th February while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi leaving casting a shadow of grief over her family and film industry alike.

Suhani had been suffering with health challenges. She suffered a leg fracture some time ago. Unfortunately, the medications administered during her treatment reportedly triggered a side effect, leading to an accumulation of fluid in her body. This unexpected health complication is believed to be the primary cause of her tragic passing.

Suhani had been undergoing treatment at Delhi's prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for an extended period. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, Suhani's health did not take a positive turn, eventually leading to her demise. Her last rites are scheduled to take place in Faridabad later on Saturday.

Aamir played amateur wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie, who develops his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat into the country's first competitive female wrestlers. Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar played the younger Phogat sisters, while Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra played their older counterparts.
